Their approach to the Quran was characterized by utmost respect and meticulous dedication, reflecting their deep understanding of its significance and transformative power.
With unwavering devotion
they recited the quran karim, savoring each word and pondering over its profound meanings. They delved into its verses, extracting guidance and inspiration for their lives.
The Quran’s beauty and wisdom captivated their hearts, prompting them to reflect on its wonders and marvel at its miraculous nature.
Their commitment to the Quran extended beyond mere recitation. They meticulously examined its verses, discerning the general and specific, the abrogated and non-abrogated, and identifying the signs of its divine authorship.
They served as ardent defenders of the Quran’s authenticity, refuting the distortions of extremists and the criticisms of skeptics.
The righteous predecessors never sought to impose their own interpretations or actions upon thequran karim. They understood that true comprehension and adherence to its teachings could only be achieved through careful study and unwavering dedication.
As Ibn Masoud eloquently stated, “If a man among us learned ten verses, he would not go beyond them until he knew their meanings and acted upon them.”
Similarly, Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Sulami recounted, “Those who used to recite us told us that if they knew ten verses, they would not leave them behind until they did what was in them, so we learned the Quran and the work together.”

حم الدخان [1]
Ha, Meem. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [1]
وَالْكِتَابِ الْمُبِينِ الدخان [2]
By the clear Book, Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [2]
إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَاهُ فِي لَيْلَةٍ مُّبَارَكَةٍ ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا مُنذِرِينَ الدخان [3]
Indeed, We sent it down during a blessed night. Indeed, We were to warn [mankind]. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [3]
فِيهَا يُفْرَقُ كُلُّ أَمْرٍ حَكِيمٍ الدخان [4]
On that night is made distinct every precise matter - Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [4]
أَمْرًا مِّنْ عِندِنَا ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا مُرْسِلِينَ الدخان [5]
[Every] matter [proceeding] from Us. Indeed, We were to send [a messenger] Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [5]
رَحْمَةً مِّن رَّبِّكَ ۚ إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ الدخان [6]
As mercy from your Lord. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [6]
رَبِّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۖ إِن كُنتُم مُّوقِنِينَ الدخان [7]
Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them, if you would be certain. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [7]
لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ ۖ رَبُّكُمْ وَرَبُّ آبَائِكُمُ الْأَوَّلِينَ الدخان [8]
There is no deity except Him; He gives life and causes death. [He is] your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [8]
بَلْ هُمْ فِي شَكٍّ يَلْعَبُونَ الدخان [9]
But they are in doubt, amusing themselves. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [9]
فَارْتَقِبْ يَوْمَ تَأْتِي السَّمَاءُ بِدُخَانٍ مُّبِينٍ الدخان [10]
Then watch for the Day when the sky will bring a visible smoke. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [10]
يَغْشَى النَّاسَ ۖ هَٰذَا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ الدخان [11]
Covering the people; this is a painful torment. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [11]
رَّبَّنَا اكْشِفْ عَنَّا الْعَذَابَ إِنَّا مُؤْمِنُونَ الدخان [12]
[They will say], "Our Lord, remove from us the torment; indeed, we are believers." Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [12]
أَنَّىٰ لَهُمُ الذِّكْرَىٰ وَقَدْ جَاءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ مُّبِينٌ الدخان [13]
How will there be for them a reminder [at that time]? And there had come to them a clear Messenger. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [13]
ثُمَّ تَوَلَّوْا عَنْهُ وَقَالُوا مُعَلَّمٌ مَّجْنُونٌ الدخان [14]
Then they turned away from him and said, "[He was] taught [and is] a madman." Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [14]
إِنَّا كَاشِفُو الْعَذَابِ قَلِيلًا ۚ إِنَّكُمْ عَائِدُونَ الدخان [15]
Indeed, We will remove the torment for a little. Indeed, you [disbelievers] will return [to disbelief]. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [15]
يَوْمَ نَبْطِشُ الْبَطْشَةَ الْكُبْرَىٰ إِنَّا مُنتَقِمُونَ الدخان [16]
The Day We will strike with the greatest assault, indeed, We will take retribution. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [16]
وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَجَاءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ كَرِيمٌ الدخان [17]
And We had already tried before them the people of Pharaoh, and there came to them a noble messenger, Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [17]
أَنْ أَدُّوا إِلَيَّ عِبَادَ اللَّهِ ۖ إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ الدخان [18]
[Saying], "Render to me the servants of Allah. Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger," Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [18]
وَأَن لَّا تَعْلُوا عَلَى اللَّهِ ۖ إِنِّي آتِيكُم بِسُلْطَانٍ مُّبِينٍ الدخان [19]
And [saying], "Be not haughty with Allah. Indeed, I have come to you with clear authority. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [19]
وَإِنِّي عُذْتُ بِرَبِّي وَرَبِّكُمْ أَن تَرْجُمُونِ الدخان [20]
And indeed, I have sought refuge in my Lord and your Lord, lest you stone me. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [20]
وَإِن لَّمْ تُؤْمِنُوا لِي فَاعْتَزِلُونِ الدخان [21]
But if you do not believe me, then leave me alone." Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [21]
فَدَعَا رَبَّهُ أَنَّ هَٰؤُلَاءِ قَوْمٌ مُّجْرِمُونَ الدخان [22]
And [finally] he called to his Lord that these were a criminal people. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [22]
فَأَسْرِ بِعِبَادِي لَيْلًا إِنَّكُم مُّتَّبَعُونَ الدخان [23]
[Allah said], "Then set out with My servants by night. Indeed, you are to be pursued. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [23]
وَاتْرُكِ الْبَحْرَ رَهْوًا ۖ إِنَّهُمْ جُندٌ مُّغْرَقُونَ الدخان [24]
And leave the sea in stillness. Indeed, they are an army to be drowned." Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [24]
كَمْ تَرَكُوا مِن جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ الدخان [25]
How much they left behind of gardens and springs Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [25]
وَزُرُوعٍ وَمَقَامٍ كَرِيمٍ الدخان [26]
And crops and noble sites Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [26]
وَنَعْمَةٍ كَانُوا فِيهَا فَاكِهِينَ الدخان [27]
And comfort wherein they were amused. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [27]
كَذَٰلِكَ ۖ وَأَوْرَثْنَاهَا قَوْمًا آخَرِينَ الدخان [28]
Thus. And We caused to inherit it another people. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [28]
فَمَا بَكَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّمَاءُ وَالْأَرْضُ وَمَا كَانُوا مُنظَرِينَ الدخان [29]
And the heaven and earth wept not for them, nor were they reprieved. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [29]
وَلَقَدْ نَجَّيْنَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ الْمُهِينِ الدخان [30]
And We certainly saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment - Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [30]
مِن فِرْعَوْنَ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ عَالِيًا مِّنَ الْمُسْرِفِينَ الدخان [31]
From Pharaoh. Indeed, he was a haughty one among the transgressors. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [31]
وَلَقَدِ اخْتَرْنَاهُمْ عَلَىٰ عِلْمٍ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ الدخان [32]
And We certainly chose them by knowledge over [all] the worlds. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [32]
وَآتَيْنَاهُم مِّنَ الْآيَاتِ مَا فِيهِ بَلَاءٌ مُّبِينٌ الدخان [33]
And We gave them of signs that in which there was a clear trial. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [33]
إِنَّ هَٰؤُلَاءِ لَيَقُولُونَ الدخان [34]
Indeed, these [disbelievers] are saying, Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [34]
إِنْ هِيَ إِلَّا مَوْتَتُنَا الْأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُنشَرِينَ الدخان [35]
"There is not but our first death, and we will not be resurrected. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [35]
فَأْتُوا بِآبَائِنَا إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ الدخان [36]
Then bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful." Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [36]
أَهُمْ خَيْرٌ أَمْ قَوْمُ تُبَّعٍ وَالَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ أَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا مُجْرِمِينَ الدخان [37]
Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those before them? We destroyed them, [for] indeed, they were criminals. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [37]
وَمَا خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا لَاعِبِينَ الدخان [38]
And We did not create the heavens and earth and that between them in play. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [38]
مَا خَلَقْنَاهُمَا إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ الدخان [39]
We did not create them except in truth, but most of them do not know. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [39]
إِنَّ يَوْمَ الْفَصْلِ مِيقَاتُهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ الدخان [40]
Indeed, the Day of Judgement is the appointed time for them all - Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [40]
يَوْمَ لَا يُغْنِي مَوْلًى عَن مَّوْلًى شَيْئًا وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ الدخان [41]
The Day when no relation will avail a relation at all, nor will they be helped - Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [41]
إِلَّا مَن رَّحِمَ اللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ الدخان [42]
Except those [believers] on whom Allah has mercy. Indeed, He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [42]
إِنَّ شَجَرَتَ الزَّقُّومِ الدخان [43]
Indeed, the tree of zaqqum Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [43]
طَعَامُ الْأَثِيمِ الدخان [44]
Is food for the sinful. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [44]
كَالْمُهْلِ يَغْلِي فِي الْبُطُونِ الدخان [45]
Like murky oil, it boils within bellies Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [45]
كَغَلْيِ الْحَمِيمِ الدخان [46]
Like the boiling of scalding water. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [46]
خُذُوهُ فَاعْتِلُوهُ إِلَىٰ سَوَاءِ الْجَحِيمِ الدخان [47]
[It will be commanded], "Seize him and drag him into the midst of the Hellfire, Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [47]
ثُمَّ صُبُّوا فَوْقَ رَأْسِهِ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْحَمِيمِ الدخان [48]
Then pour over his head from the torment of scalding water." Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [48]
ذُقْ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْكَرِيمُ الدخان [49]
[It will be said], "Taste! Indeed, you are the honored, the noble! Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [49]
إِنَّ هَٰذَا مَا كُنتُم بِهِ تَمْتَرُونَ الدخان [50]
Indeed, this is what you used to dispute." Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [50]
إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي مَقَامٍ أَمِينٍ الدخان [51]
Indeed, the righteous will be in a secure place; Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [51]
فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ الدخان [52]
Within gardens and springs, Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [52]
يَلْبَسُونَ مِن سُندُسٍ وَإِسْتَبْرَقٍ مُّتَقَابِلِينَ الدخان [53]
Wearing [garments of] fine silk and brocade, facing each other. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [53]
كَذَٰلِكَ وَزَوَّجْنَاهُم بِحُورٍ عِينٍ الدخان [54]
Thus. And We will marry them to fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [54]
يَدْعُونَ فِيهَا بِكُلِّ فَاكِهَةٍ آمِنِينَ الدخان [55]
They will call therein for every [kind of] fruit - safe and secure. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [55]
لَا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا الْمَوْتَ إِلَّا الْمَوْتَةَ الْأُولَىٰ ۖ وَوَقَاهُمْ عَذَابَ الْجَحِيمِ الدخان [56]
They will not taste death therein except the first death, and He will have protected them from the punishment of Hellfire Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [56]
فَضْلًا مِّن رَّبِّكَ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ الدخان [57]
As bounty from your Lord. That is what is the great attainment. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [57]
فَإِنَّمَا يَسَّرْنَاهُ بِلِسَانِكَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ الدخان [58]
And indeed, We have eased the Qur'an in your tongue that they might be reminded. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [58]
فَارْتَقِبْ إِنَّهُم مُّرْتَقِبُونَ الدخان [59]
So watch, [O Muhammad]; indeed, they are watching [for your end]. Ad-Dukhan ( The Smoke ) [59]
